Board Meeting Minutes
February 25
The regular meeting of the Village of Divernon Board of Trustees was held on Wednesday 25, 2009 at the Divernon Village Hall. Mayor Wade Carter called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. After all in attendance recited the Pledge of Allegiance, the Clerk called roll call: Mayor Carter “Here”, Randy Rhodes “Here”, Tom Burke “Here”, John Caudle “Here”, Joe Bukantos “Here”. Also present Police Chief Eric Kirbach, Superintendent Larry Rhodes and Treasurer Lucille Hundley. Not present Betty Carter.
The minutes for the February 11th meeting were presented. After any corrections or additions were made a motion to approve was made by R. Rhodes. Second by T. Burke. Motion passed 4-0.
The bills were presented for approval. After additions and corrections were made, motion to approve bills by J. Caudle. Second by T. Burke. Motion passed 4-0.
Supervisor (L. Rhodes):
Nothing to report.
Police:
Nothing to report.
Treasurer (L. Hundley):
Treasurer Hundley reported on the condition of the General Fund. A certificate of deposit will be cashed in and deposited to the General Fund. UCB will not be charging penalties for early withdrawal to the Village.
Committee Reports
Building, Grounds and Lights (R. Rhodes):
R. Rhodes reported on the progress of the new garage.
Finance (B. Carter):
Nothing to report.
Personnel/Human Resources (B. Carter)
Nothing to report.
Mayor Carter reminded the Board of the employee evaluations due at the end of March.
Health & Safety (T. Burke):
T. Burke reported that Lake Area Recycling would restart the service for the recycling bin. The cost for each pick up will be $125.00. Motion to resume services from Lake Area Recycling for the amount of $125.00 per pickup by T. Burke. Second by J. Bukantos. Motion passed 4-0.
Public Works, Streets, Alleys, and Utilities (J. Bukantos):
J. Bukantos stated he has spoken to Reggie Benton of Benton and Assoc. regarding the work to be completed on the water tower. Reggie will be present at the next Board meeting to discuss issues.
Community Development (J. Caudle):
Nothing to report.
Old Business
Mayor Carter stated he has not received information from IDOT regarding the frontage road work to be completed.
New Business
Nothing to report.
